Madonna ‘jealous of Kylie’ – and more we learned in Graham Norton’s interview

For years, Madonna’s younger brother was one of her closest secrets. He was a background dancer on her first UK TV appearance, and later became her tour guide.

But when Madonna appointed a different director – choreographer Jamie King – for her Hidden World Tour, they divorced. Christopher Things got worse in 2008 when he wrote a tell-all book called Life With My Sister Madonna.

The star has previously said she considered Christopher her “biggest enemy” for “a long time” – but they reconciled before his death.

“He was sick and coming up to me and saying, ‘I need your help,'” she told podcast host Jay Shetty last year.

“I felt so relieved. It was a burden off my back, a weight removed, baggage to finally be in the same room with him and hold his hand and say, ‘I love you and I forgive you.'”

Speaking to Norton, Madonna said she wrote Fragile after Christopher called her into the studio.

“He was in so much pain on the phone, and he wasn’t in a good place. I knew it was close to the end. And then I went up and wrote a song.”

Called a crumb, he looks back on their childhood and promises “we’ll see each other on the other side.”

“It’s cathartic,” she said of the song. “The best way to let go of someone you love is to write about it. It’s like letting go.”
