Prime Day MacBook Deals I Recommend (2026)

It’s true that Apple sold its previous MacBook Air for up to $750 this time last year. But the 2026 M5 version comes with twice the storage (now at 512 GB). The lowest price right now is over on Amazon, where the base model costs $949. It’s $150 off, and while it’s not the lowest I’ve seen this laptop go, it’s still pretty solid compared to the competition in Windows land. That’s especially good considering the new price of $1,299 that Apple is now selling for the same configuration. Wow.

There is also 15-inch model focus, which has a very large screen without adding much of the thickness.

MacBook Pro

The best MacBook deals for Prime Day are on M5 MacBook Pro. This is a 14-inch model, launched at the end of 2025. Although it does not represent a significant increase in performance over the MacBook Air, it offers you an HDR-ready Mini-LED display. It’s brighter and more color accurate than the MacBook Air. It also comes with a Nano Texture display, which is great for reducing glare. Another big upgrade is in the additional ports, which include HDMI and an SD card slot. Beyond that, it’s a slightly thicker laptop with better speakers and a slightly larger display.

But what makes this worth buying is the price. Amazon has kept its starting price around $1,550 since before Apple raised its price to $1,999. Given the speed with which Amazon and other retailers are raising their prices to match Apple, I don’t know how long this deal will last.

The M5 Pro and M5 Max models are where you start to upgrade the performance, and there are lower prices here to consider as well. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max comes with starting price $3,300 compared to Apple’s pricing of $4,099. It’s a very expensive laptop, yes, and a lot of money.

MacBook Neo

The MacBook Neo was supposed to be Apple’s first affordable MacBook, but the $100 price hike has made things difficult. Although it comes with 8 GB of RAM, the laptop is now on sale for $699 (or $799 for the model with double the storage). And don’t forget: instead of a proper Mac chip, it uses the A18 Pro chip, which was designed for iPhones.

Unfortunately, Amazon has removed listings since before Apple’s pricing changes, so right now your options are limited. The biggest discount offered is on Blush’s 512 GB-model, which is $110 cheaper than Apple. The good news is that Walmart is still selling its expensive replacements, which means you can get the entry-level MacBook Neo for $599.
