Due to a quarter of an hour… Sami Al Jaber loses his Asian throne at the World Cup

Sami Al Jaber lost his historic Asian throne in the World Cup due to the quarter hour of the current version of the World Cup.

Japan’s national team was held to a 1-1 draw by Sweden early Friday in the third and final group stage of the World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico.

The 75th minute witnessed a historic event after defender Yuto Nagatomo came on as a substitute for Japan at the expense of Keito Nakamura.

Notably, Sami Al-Jaber remains the all-time leading scorer in World Cup history with 3 goals, but he could lose that tally if compatriot Salem Al-Dossar scores against Cape Verde or Egyptian star Mohamed Salah does so against Iran.
