Bielsa admits. Stopping Yamal is the key to Uruguay’s victory

Uruguay coach Marcelo Bielsa has said that his team will treat the Spain game as a final showdown to ensure survival at the World Cup.

He emphasized that Uruguay does not intend to simply retreat to defense, stressing. “The best way to defend is to make the opponent hold the ball for as little time as possible.”

Bielsa noted that Spain are playing “very classy” football under coach Luis de la Fuente, stressing that finding a way to stop Lamin Yamal will be a crucial element in Uruguay’s chances of victory.

He explained: “Yamal is able to change the course of the match, I am not saying anything new, he is a player who confuses the opponent and decides the matches.”
