Former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid player Luis Suarez has confirmed that manager Diego Simeone may be able to convince Julian Alvarez to stay, or that the player could stay put by leaving the Roi Blancos this summer.
Suarez’s announcements came During an interview with the “El Larguero” program of the “Cadena Ser” network.
Luis Suarez has expressed his full understanding of Alvarez’s position and his vocal statements asking for a move to fulfill his dream of playing for Barcelona, recalling that he had also previously asked to leave Liverpool before reversing his decision. “I understand the player’s position when he announces his desire to take another step to make a change. I felt the same possibility when I was at Liverpool and I said I want to go to Arsenal because I want to play in the Champions League.”
“Then Captain Gerard came and persuaded me, saying, “If you have a great year, we will help you and you can go to Barcelona, Real Madrid or wherever you want.
Luis Suarez has admitted that anything can happen in the world of football and that Alvarez can stand his ground and stick to his decision to leave via a transfer deal, despite attempts by Madrid’s management to dissuade him from his decision and ask him to reconsider.
“Loizito” commented. “Cholo and the fans can convince him that this year could be Atlético’s year or, on the contrary, he can stand his ground and say enough is enough.
Suarez continued. “Barcelona and any team in the world will want to sign Alvarez and will be willing to pay any amount because he can connect and handle balls well. He moves perfectly between the two central defenders and is a great help in the defensive aspects. He will also have wingers who give him very decisive passes and quick passes.”
During his radio interview, Suarez refused to draw comparisons between legend Leo Messi and rising star Lamine Yamal, stating:
The veteran scorer concluded his speech by revealing details His exclusive relationship with Argentine star Leo MessiHe emphasized that the famous historical rivalry between Argentina and Uruguay has not affected their close friendship.
Suarez explained with a smile how he is watching his friend’s wonderful start in the World Cup, saying: “I write to him after games and jokingly insult him saying ‘enough’ because there are no words to justify him or congratulations. It’s unbelievable. I’m happy to see him happy and enjoying the World Cup.”
