The new footage lasts until 07:29 when he enters the bathroom.

There is a gap because there are no cameras in the bathroom.

Officers enter the shower room at 07:48 and the blockade begins.

Earlier footage showed Marshall being dragged from the shower room, dragged in the face by several officers and restrained by up to 17 officers, some using their feet.

Marshall’s aunt, Sharon McFadyen, who has spent years campaigning in her nephew’s case, says the new footage “doesn’t fit” with what officers said about him being angry, violent and covered in feces.

“If he’s starting or fighting fair, he’s doing what he’s been told to do,” she told the BBC.

She believes Marshall, who has been pressing his emergency siren several times during the night, has irritated officers and been taken to a shower room to be lectured.

“There are no cameras or anything. You don’t know what happened in there, so we just got their word,” she said.
