The UN has said it is stepping up its response after two earthquakes devastated Venezuela, warning that the disaster will exacerbate the humanitarian crisis. Speaking to Al Jazeera, UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said hundreds of UN staff are helping with the response, adding that efforts are expected to continue for several months.
