The UK is bracing for another week of warmer weather following record-breaking temperatures across the country.
A high of 36.7C (98F) was provisionally recorded at Merrifield in Somerset on Thursday, also the hottest day of the year so far in Wales (35.9C), Scotland (31.2C) and Northern Ireland (30.8C).
A red weather warning for extreme heat is in place on Friday, covering London, Oxford, Sussex and Kent.
