Lumen Field is a stadium that took my breath away – and I mean loud.
So loud, in fact, that it has twice set the Guinness Book of World Records for loudness, thanks to its horseshoe-shaped design, which creates a lot of noise in the stadium – although I can personally testify that you can still hear the noise with a 25-minute walk!
The North Stand is particularly impressive: it’s like the bow of a ship on a storm surge, and the open sky on either side of the seating area offers a spectacular view of the Seattle skyline.
Inside, the stadium’s concourses are cavernous — but even when they’re empty, Lumen Field is lined with jersey row that commemorates the famous artists who’ve played (including Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran) or the Seattle Seahawks’ Wall of Legends.
