Morocco coach Mohamed Uebe confirmed that they tried to finish the group stage in first place but ended up as runners-up, noting that the Atlas Lions team is in control of the game against Haiti.
The Moroccan national team reserved its place in the 32nd round of the 2026 World Cup. Thursday morning with a blowout win over Haiti (4-2).in the “Atlanta” stadium of the United States of America, in the third, last round of the group stage.
With this victory, the “Atlas Lions” finished the group stage in second place in Group C, behind the leader Brazil on goal difference, with 7 points each.
Morocco have been drawn in the Round of 32 against the leaders of Group F, which includes the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden and Tunisia.

He continued. “We had some problems but he only had two shots on goal while we were in complete control. I don’t think the Moroccan team has dominated the World Cup like this before, and don’t forget we’re talking about the World Cup.”
“In the first half we had a lot of chances and in the second half the game improved and I asked the players to make some tactical changes which helped us to look better.”
As for the team he prefers to face in the next round, he clarified. “There is no preference for any team. We will prepare properly and whatever opponent we face, we will be ready for it.”
