Video: Mexico gets full marks and knocks the Czech Republic out of the World Cup

The Mexican team achieved a perfect score in the group stage. For the 2026 World Cupafter a 3-0 win over the Czech Republic in the first group competition this Thursday morning.

Mexico took their tally to nine points to top Group A, while the Czech Republic exited the tournament early after being held to one point.

Mateo Chavez (55′), Julian Quiñones (61′) and Alvaro Fidalgo Fernandez (90’+4) scored a hat-trick for the Mexicans.

From the last round, the Mexican national team guaranteed their passage to the next round of the World Cup, but they won, taking the overall first place in the World Cup Group A, and so far the only team to achieve this feat.
