Fury vs Joshua: Hearn says AJ will have to agree to new terms for the fight in the US.

Although 36-year-old world champion Joshua and 37-year-old Fury may have stepped down from the top, two of the biggest British boxing stars of their era remain.

The superfight was organized by Alalshik, and Joshua and Fury’s teams were in direct contact with Saudi on the terms of the contract.

According to Hearn, neither Matchroom nor Warren Queensberry can act as lead promoters because it gives one side of the fight an advantage over the other.

UFC CEO White said the Zuffa Boxing president knows the date, venue and will announce it, saying it’s central to making the fight happen.

Fury attended the UFC White House show on June 14 and teased a “big announcement” from White before announcing that he would be promoted by Alalshik. Warren later told BBC Sport that Queensberry would continue to promote Fury alongside Alalshik.

“The contract clearly states that Dana White and Zuffa Boxing or any affiliate cannot be promoters of this event,” Hearn said.

“The only way Dana can have any involvement in the show is if we let him. And that’s not really how I feel right now.”

Hearn believes White’s comments by asking Alshchik to look into the financial viability of the fight in Las Vegas and the UFC president overstated his role in the arrangement.

Asked if he could change his stance on White’s involvement, Hearn said: “Money changes a lot of things.

Hearn and White have created a public rivalry since the introduction of boxing to the sport. White has previously signed Conor Benn, who grew up at Matchroom.

Alshik suggested next week’s meeting will include peace talks between the two, but Hearn feels his rivalry with White was the “best thing” that happened in his career as a promoter.

“I would be disappointed if Turki Alshik allowed us to have peace, because I want war,” he added.
