Last November, a The WIRED Reviews panel was conducted an unsightly competition for fake Christmas trees in which we had three interior designers choose the most beautiful among 10 popular pines (and firs).

I took the 7.5-foot Balsam Hill home for a long time to test after our competition and can confirm the fact that it was easier to assemble than the fake tree that I had, even though it was very big, and that they appreciated all the season. It’s something I would buy with my own money without hesitation. The only complaints I have are that they are big and heavy (very good for construction), and they are so big that the decorations almost ran out (I have been collecting them on holidays since I was in school).
