Formula E unveils the first GEN4 calendar with multiple real-time movements

Formula E is in its final year of current regulations, with a new single-seater EV set to be launched at the start of the next season, which starts in December in Saudi Arabia. The new car, called GEN4, it’s a big upgrade-sometimes more powerful than a Formula 1 car, despite being heavier and less powerful. As the speed increased with the GEN4 car, we knew that the game would reach the fastest possible place in the world.

With the release of the calendar for the 12 seasons of 2026-2027, the limit has become clear: a line of 21 colors in 13 cities that now includes several colors.

The Saudi-header is scheduled for December 18 and 19, and is the only season 12 around this year. Then the list begins in 2027 with a list of Formula 1 venues in North America: Mexico on January 16, Circuit of the Americas in Texas on February 7, and Miami International Autodrome on February 20. The addition of COTA to the Formula E calendar makes it the seventh US venue for the sport since 2015, including American Airlines. in Miami actually; Long Beach, California; Brooklyn, New York; Portland, Oregon; Home – Miamiand Hard Rock Stadium outside of Miami.

The race at COTA will use a shorter version of that circuit, as NASCAR uses its circuits, instead of the full F1. This preserves the inevitable long-term comparison between the two series, but the new calendar marks a departure from one of the original products: urban racing that never came.

Some traditional Formula E music remains. Berlin-Templehof takes place in May, as does the Monaco e-Prix. But London’s outdoor ExCel Arena is over; Instead, Formula E will race at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent, outside London, at the end of May. They believe that instead of using the Indy or GP format of this famous circuit, the game will use a special format, similar to how Formula E’s Monaco changes slightly from the F1 format used a few weeks later.
