In the BBC Panorama film, two more police officers were fired

Simon Messenger, from the Met Police, said: “It was important to check all the footage taken by the BBC to identify any misconduct that was not shown on the programme.

“This allowed us to quickly suspend and now hold these two officers accountable for their horrible and inappropriate comments.

“10 officers at Charing Cross have now been dismissed for unacceptable behavior and we continue to support the ongoing IOPC investigation.”

He added: “Our own work to raise standards and address the cultural issues at the Met which has created an environment where these negative attitudes can be seen as acceptable behaviour, continues apace.”

Both officers were found to have breached standards of professional conduct relating to authority, respect and dignity and untrustworthy behaviour.

They will be added to the police college’s debarred list from rejoining the police force or from working for several police-related organizations.
