To enhance the sound or picture in your home, you can connect the P1 to an AV receiver or audio system using one HDMI port. eARC. But even so, the P1 can do more because it does not support 4K Ultra resolution, HDR10+ color quality, or Dolby Atmos Audio using the integrated speakers. The key is migration. (Dolby Atmos worked with an AV receiver connected using one HDMI eARC port.)

Knowing what the P1 stands for and its main purpose of stability, I kept my expectations in check and started testing. I wasn’t looking for special performance with the P1, but when I discovered a Houston Rockets game on YouTube TV in my windowless test room and in my family room (on a bright day, at least), I was intrigued. The minimum size of the projected image (110 inches) is designed to be done in depth.
That said, the game didn’t look good and had the differences between a cheap project. Testing the picture quality settings didn’t help much, but the game mode added brightness and clarity.
Moving on to the local issues, the resolution was pretty good, even though I manually adjusted the brightness and contrast controls. When they are streaming Avatar: Fire and Ashes on the Fandango at Home show, I saw a lot of clarity and focus during the fights, but it didn’t look very cinematic. When I compared with Epson LS9000 projector, the same images looked great, with full color.
The P1 project performed well on some of my benchmarks for visual project testing. I went through a few ways, including one with a winter fence, but the background colors looked too purple when they should have been green. The sunset had no difference in color vibrancy, which is not surprising for the price.
