Amflow, the e-bike brand that came out of DJI, has just announced its TL series, an “eSUV” suitable for both. bicycle tours and leaving the child at daycare on your way to work.
All of the TL models are built around Amflow’s small but powerful Avinox M2 mid engine. The Amflow TL Carbon delivers 125Nm of mountain-igniting torque and up to 1100W of peak output. It supports up to 1280Wh of battery power when its removable 800Wh battery is connected to a 480Wh extender. You can choose a location that calls for four batteries in a row.
The sports tourer comes with mudguards, integrated lights, and a rear rack supporting up to 27kg, with the option of adding a front rack to tow another 20kg. The rear is MIK HD-compatible and allows you to quickly attach everything from a child seat to a cookware or a bike trailer for the family dog, while the front fork, rear suspension, and larger tires help to dance the tracks and potholes. The total weight of the Amflow TL rises to 200kg (440lbs) from a bike that can be adjusted to a weight of 22.6kg (50lbs) – the lightest for a full suspension bike.
The Amflow TL also has an electronic shifter that detects the gear-shifting of the cassette to smoothly move the cassette without the rider needing to drive it. It also works on steep hills by reducing torque during gear changes to reduce vibration and protect the chain.
Bathing for a long time, long list of products with Apple Find My integration to help find a stolen bike, the integration of a heart rate sensor that provides the right support to help the rider stay in the position of the heartbeat, and integration with DJI’s Osmo cameras so that you can manage the recordings directly from the display of the e-bike.
None of this will come cheap: in Europe, it will be priced at €3,499, or £3199 in the UK. US pricing is still TBD, as are shipping dates for the new Amflow TL series that will be “available worldwide later this year.”
