Arsenal are set to move aggressively in the summer transfer market to expand their attacking options, with PSG winger Bradley Barcola topping their list of targets to sign a new left winger before the start of next season.
According to the website.CaughtOffsideCiting sources with knowledge of the players’ agent market, the London club are considering an offer worth around €80 million to sign the French international, who is being courted by a number of major European clubs.
Barcola is one of the most prominent names currently being monitored by English Premier League clubs, especially in light of indications that he could leave PSG if the French club receive an offer that matches his financial requirements.
Arsenal technical director Mikel Arteta believes the signing of Barcola could give the team a big attacking boost as they look to bring more speed, flexibility and efficiency to their front line.
Although the Gunners have a special group of players in the attacking third, the club is still looking for a winger who can compete with Gabriel Martinelli, relieve the burden of Bukayo Saka and provide different solutions in key matches.
Barcola seems to meet all these requirements as he has exceptional technical and physical ability, in addition to accumulated experience despite his young age. The 23-year-old Frenchman has featured in the Champions League and established himself as one of the most prominent attacking talents in the French league in recent years.
Barcola’s market value, according to website Transfermarkt, is around €70 million, while his current contract with PSG runs until the summer of 2028, giving the French club a strong negotiating position.
His numbers in the 2025-26 season also reflect the extent of his impact on the pitch, after he scored 11 goals and another assist in the French league despite not being a regular for the Paris team.
Reports indicate that a player’s frustration with his role on the team is one of the most important factors affecting his future. Barcola was very disappointed after he was left out of Paris Saint-Germain’s starting line-up in the Champions League final, raising questions about his status in the club’s sporting blueprint.
While his agent continues to discuss the possibility of extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain management, the player’s dissatisfaction with his limited participation in the big games remains, which could open the door to offers from abroad.
According to the same sources, Arsenal are preparing an offer worth around €80 million, while PSG are believed to not consider selling the player for less than €100 million, which could complicate negotiations in the coming weeks.
Interest in Barcola is not limited to Arsenal, with several of Europe’s biggest clubs closely monitoring his situation, including Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, indicating strong competition for the player’s signature should Paris Saint-Germain decide to open the door to negotiations.
Despite the difficulty of the deal, Arsenal’s interest appears to be very serious as the club do not view Barcola as an additional addition, but rather a player capable of making an immediate impact, with great long-term potential and experience that qualifies him to compete at Europe’s highest levels.
The question remains in the near future. Will Paris Saint-Germain agree to listen to the offers made for their French star, or will they hang on to his services and close the door on one of the summer Mercato’s most popular files?
