All Women’s Super League clubs can serve alcohol to fans in the stands from the start of next season.
A rule banning the consumption of alcohol on the pitch has been lifted by the league’s governing body, WSL Football.
This follows two seasons of successful alcohol trials in the WSL and WSL 2 and has received shareholder approval.
In the 2025–26 season, 20 clubs took part in trials at 29 venues and 190 games across England’s top two tiers.
Clubs don’t have to serve alcohol if they don’t want to and can choose to serve it at some venues and not others.
