The field and draw for the women’s world matchplay have been confirmed with Lisa Ashton set to defend her title.
Eight players include two-time winner Beau Greaves and 2022 champion Fallon Sherk, Gemma Hayter and Vicky Pruim have also secured their places.
Data Hedman and Ryan O’Sullivan will also be in attendance, with Finnish star Kirsi Vinikainen taking the final spot on offer.

Highlights of the 2025 Women’s World Matchplay Final as Ashton battled Sherrock
The fifth stage of the event will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 26 July at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
Lancashire trailblazer Ashton will open his defense against Wales’ O’Sullivan, who will be making his third appearance in this summer’s showpiece.
Top seed Greaves – who claimed back-to-back wins in 2023 and 2024 – will be aiming to regain the title between April 2025 and March 2026 after her unprecedented 114-match winning streak on the women’s series circuit.
The 22-year-old will renew his rivalry with Finland’s Vinikainen in the tournament opener after the pair met at the same stage of last year’s event.
The draw bracket was confirmed after the conclusion of PDC Women’s Series Event 16 on Sunday, as Sherk looks set to maintain her all-time record at Winter Gardens.
The Milton Keynes superstar won the inaugural stage of the tournament in 2022, while reaching back-to-back finals in 2024 and 2025 – succumbing to Greaves and Ashton in respective decisions.
The 66-year-old icon is pitted against Sherk debutant Hedman after winning her second Women’s Series title en route to sealing qualification last month.

Speaking on Love the Darts, Chris Murphy believes the women’s world matchplay arena and format need to move forward.
The other quarter-final will see Hayter face Sweden’s Pruim – another newcomer to next month’s extravaganza.
Hayter has enjoyed a consistent 2026 campaign to date, reaching the final and four semi-finals to record a fourth place finish in the Women’s World Matchplay Rankings.
Pruim, meanwhile, celebrated her first Women’s Series title in May before finishing runner-up in Event 13 on Saturday to confirm her Blackpool bow.
The winner of the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay will qualify for November’s Grand Slam of Darts and the 2026/27 World Darts Championship, with an increased top prize of £15,000.

The 2026 Betfred World Matchplay will be held at the iconic Winter Garden from 18-26 July, with a 32-player field competing for the prestigious Phil Taylor Trophy.
World No 1 Luke Littler will be eyeing back-to-back titles in Blackpool, set to star in the £1million event alongside 2024 champion Luke Humphries and three-time World Matchplay winner Michael van Gerwen.
This summer’s action will also see the fifth stage of the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay, as eight of the biggest names in the women’s game battle it out for the title currently held by Lisa Ashton.
