Egyptian journalist Mehat Shalaby surprised Tunisian commentator Issam Chavali with a message that caused great controversy in the last few hours.
Mehat Shalabi said in his published video Through the “Story” feature of his official Instagram account.“I know very well that a football commentator has nothing to do with the formation, changes, game plan or reading of the match.”
He continued. “The role of the commentator is only to describe the events of the game and the great captain Isam Al-Shawali He commented on Tunisia’s two matches against Sweden and Japan at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, losing to Sweden by five goals and losing to Japan by four goals.
Shalabi continued. “Al-Shawali was suspended for Iraq against Norway as the Mesopotamian Lions lost by four and he was sent off for Saudi Arabia against Spain as the Greens lost by four.”
