Odds-on favorite Precise managed to win the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and continue a great week for trainer Aidan O’Brien.
O’Brien Surpassed 100 career wins At the Festival this week and delivered another victory with 8-13 favorite Presize a class up to beat Tolin and another O’Brien horse True Love.
Jockey Ryan Moore was on board and now a total of 97 Royal Ascot winners himself.
He told ITV Sport: “I just let him get into a rhythm and let him go, we knew he would be fine.
“Aidan’s horses always run right on the line. He’s a top-class filly.”
King Charles III presented the trophy for the race which was first run in 1840 to mark the coronation of Queen Victoria.
Earlier, the Commonwealth Cup was won by 11-8 favorites Venetian Sun who beat the division and 50-1 shot Spicy Marg.
Venetian Sun won the Albany Stakes at Ascot last year and again justified his backing with a strong finish to win.
Tony Bloom, chairman of Brighton & Hove Albion, which part-owns the horse, said: “We would probably have liked a bit of cut on the ground but he can run everywhere and it’s amazing.”
“It was a tough race but he was tough enough in the end and great racehorses win those tough ends when it comes down to it.”
