The Met Office has issued an amber extreme heat warning for parts of southern and eastern England and south Wales.
The warning is in effect on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures expected to rise by 35C (95F).
Nights will be warm, staying above 20C in some places.
It brings the risk of damage to health, especially for people who are at risk of sunburn and heat exhaustion.
There may also be some disruptions and travel delays.

Those alerts, which will run until Tuesday for regions in the south and east of England, warn of a major impact on health and social care services – with deaths likely to increase among the elderly and vulnerable.
In contrast, this Met Office warning suggests the heat will affect the general population.
