The proposal was rejected. 100 million euros is not enough for Liverpool to include Khalifa Salah.

The Reds are looking to bolster their attack ahead of the start of the new season

“Liverpool” has made the first official offer to acquire Ivorian winger Yann Diomande, the star of Leipzig, reports the German press.

Philipp Hinze of Germany’s Sky Sports said on Thursday that the offer was worth around 100 million euros, including bonuses of around 90 million euros as a fixed fee, on top of 10 million euros in add-ons and incentives.

Despite the high value of the offer, Leipzig rejected Liverpool, as the German club wants to keep the Ivorian player for at least one more season.

Hinze added that any offer that could be acceptable to Leipzig would have to exceed the €100 million barrier by a clear margin, indicating the club’s intention to improve Diomande’s contract and increase his wages.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are set to soon present a new and improved offer after rejecting the first package as part of efforts to bolster their attack in a strong deal, especially following the departure of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah at the end of last season.

The English club is well aware of the football player’s personal conditions and does not expect any complications in this matter, provided that an agreement is reached with Leipzig on the value of the transaction.

For their part, Paris Saint-Germain have yet to make any official bid for Yann Diomande, despite previous reports that the Champions League champions are interested in the Ivory Coast star.
