Hulk, Punisher join Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer

We are less than six weeks away from the start Spider-Man: A New Day2021 follow-up There is no Native Method. It’s been five years since Spidey graced the big screen, so naturally Sony Pictures has released a new trailer to get audiences excited.

(Spoilers for There is no Native Method below.)

Like it has already been said, There is no Native Method ended on a sad note, with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) asking Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to scan everyone’s memories to protect everyone, including MJ (Zendaya).

Brand New Day directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). According to the official description:

Four years have passed since the events of There is no Native Methodand Peter is now a grown man who lives alone, having voluntarily removed himself from the lives and memories of the people he loves. Fighting crime in New York that no longer knows its name, he is fully committed to protecting his city – the usual Spider-Man – but as his interests increase, the pressure causes a strange evolution that threatens his existence, even if a new criminal method causes one of the most powerful threats he has ever encountered.

Naturally, Holland is reprising his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, alongside Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Peter’s old friend Ned Leeds. The film also stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion (adopted by Spider-Man in. Back home), Marvin Jones III as albino crime lord Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone, and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil (briefly Peter’s lawyer in There is no Native Method). Sadie Sink, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Trammel Tillman join the cast in undisclosed roles.
