VSCO is taking on Adobe with something new Studio Pro to improve the app that is coming out today on iOS and coming to macOS later this year, as Bloomberg reports. At launch, the app offers tools for batch editing, matching styles from photos, and sharing photos via VSCO Galleries. VSCO says that more features are coming later, including support for RAW images, advanced export options, and other advanced editing tools such as photo editing.
The press release states that the app is designed to handle high-resolution work, such as “weddings, portraits, events, sports, school photography, and other large-scale photography.”
VSCO One subscription for $ 500 per year will be launched later this month as an alternative to the “distributed processes” of using the connected platforms for editing photos and businesses such as communicating with customers or providing finished photos. It’s the same price as an annual subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Pro, the provider of VSCO software including Studio Pro, Draw itPictures, Workspaces, Pages, AI LabCanvas, and its training program for Freelance Photographers.
