Leinster v Bulls: Caelan Doris fit as Tadhg Furlong returns for URC final in Croke Park

Leinster captain Callan Dorries is fit to start in Friday’s United Rugby Championship final against the Pretoria Bulls as Tadhg Furlong returns to the line-up.

Ireland captain Doris was a doubt after picking up a knee injury in the semi-final win over the Stormers but will lead a side featuring three changes for the decider in Croke Park (19:30 BST).

Furlong has been named at tight-head prop – the three-time British and Irish Lion’s first start since April – with Connacht-bound Jerry Cahir replacing the injured Andrew Porter at loose-head.

Fit-again Tommy O’Brien returns on the right wing and James Lowe starts on the opposite side in his final game before leaving the province.

Hugo Keanan is at full-back alongside Raikou Ione and Jamie Osborne in midfield, while Jamieson Gibson-Park and Sam Prendergast are kept at half-back.

Hooker Dan Sheehan is fit enough to earn a place on the bench after missing the Stormers game, with Ronan Kelleher again selected in the number two shirt.

Joe McCarthy and James Ryan form an unchanged second row with Max Deegan and Josh van der Flier joining Dorries in the back row.

Leinster will be hoping to retain the URC title after missing out on a fifth Champions Cup success when they lost to Bordeaux in Bilbao in May.

Leo Cullen’s side beat the Bulls 32-7 in last season’s URC final.
