LinkedIn will tell others how you use Adobe software


LinkedIn is trying to make it easier for users to prove their skills with programs that are relevant to their current or future jobs. A new “connected apps” program is launching today that allows users to link supported apps to their LinkedIn profile, each app providing “simple, accurate descriptions of how you use it,” according to LinkedIn.

This feature builds on the same relationships LinkedIn was released in January 2026which allows users test their skills with DuolingoDescript, Lovable, Relay.app, and Replit. Now, these links will be moved to the new affiliate programs section of the LinkedIn profile, along with support for 14 new programs, including Buffer, Fiverr, HubSpot, and more. Support for additional apps is “coming soon,” according to LinkedIn, which will expand to include Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, Fullcast/Copy.AI, Github Copilot, Gong, OpusClip, Riverside, Sprinklr, Webflow, and Zapier.

Programs like HubSpot, for example, may advertise that a user “creates and sends distribution emails in HubSpot’s Marketing Hub” or “uses HubSpot’s marketing software to connect with customers,” instead of simply confirming that the user uses HubSpot.

The generated text cannot be changed by the user, and it is updated in real time based on any changes in the connected software being used. At first, they will reset without warning the user. Kelly Tong, senior product manager at LinkedIn, said Seaside that LinkedIn plans to release notifications to notify users when their voice changes. The verification code does not include malicious code or “downgrading” to make it look bad if someone is using a limited-access program, according to Tong.

This is part of LinkedIn’s push to verify information, having already released the same tools prove who you are about users and support employers reduce fraudulent activities. The new connected app aims to help users stand out to potential employers by sharing verified information, making it easier for employers to find people with the right tools for certain jobs.

“We’re creating new ways for members to show real, credible evidence of their potential on their LinkedIn profiles,” said LinkedIn CEO Dan Shapero. “And for the mechanics behind these tools, there’s no better endorsement than a customer using and loving your product.”
