Argentina captain Lionel Messi has set a new legendary record by becoming the all-time leading scorer at the World Cup, shared with Germany’s Miroslav Klose.

According to Opta, Messi also became the oldest player to score a hat-trick in World Cup history at 38 years and 357 days, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo, who did the same at 33 years and 130 days.
