Spanish police have arrested a young Atletico Madrid fan accused of hurling racist abuse at Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior before the game against Barcelona at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium.
The incident took place on April 14 before the Champions League quarter-final match.
One of the Brazilian television stations recorded the events, and they are also circulating on social networks. According to the Spanish newspaper AS today.
The same source noted that the accused young man was wearing an Atletico Madrid jersey and addressed the racist insults “chimpanzee” and “monkey” to the Real Madrid player, who is not participating in the match.
After these events, the police started an investigation into the incident.

The detainee, a 27-year-old man, was found thanks to a joint investigation by the information squad of the National Police of Madrid and Valencia, according to police sources, who confirmed the information obtained by the Mundo Deportivo newspaper.
