Half a billion people use Threads every month

Meta says that daily users on Threads continue to “increase globally,” and that “everything” is managed by communities, allowing users to view and write articles on various topics. The company is rolling them out in beta and adding features like communities on the Threads website and giving communities “their own visual information.” The meta is still green where threads take volunteers – Threads said in December that the platform has more than 200 – but Threads boss Connor Hayes says Seaside that allowing users to create people will be a feature available “maybe next year.”

Threads is also introducing a new feature to give users more control over what their algorithm shows in their feed. Earlier this year, Threads launched “Dear Algo,” which lets you share publicly what you want to see more or less, and on Tuesday, it’s launching “Your Algo,” which lets you privately tell the Threads you want to change for your algorithm. Your algo is starting to spread to the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
