Officially… Al-Ahly announce signing of Hussein Amouta and reveal his Egyptian assistant


Egyptian club Al-Ahly announced on Monday evening that it has officially signed a contract with Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta to take over the technical management of the first football team for two seasons.

Al-Ahli earlier expressed their gratitude to Danish coach Jes Torop after the two sides agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent in June.

“Al-Ahli Club in its official statement says: “The club’s board of directors chaired by Mahmoud Al-Khatib approved the finalization of the structure of the football sector, presented by the club’s vice-chairman Yassin Mansour and board member Syed Abdel Hafeez, who signed a contract with Hewes as the head football coach. Amuta.”

Amouta has an accomplished coaching record, having led the Moroccan national team to remarkable success. He has also coached a number of major Arab clubs, including Morocco’s Wydad, Qatar’s Al Sadd and UAE’s Al Jazira, in addition to his experience with the Jordanian national team.

“Al-Ahli” also announced that Yasser Radwan joined the new technical team led by Hussein Amuta.

In a statement, the club explained the appointment of Amr Anwar as deputy director of academies, while it was decided to appoint Ahmed Al-Sayed as an assistant in the new administrative and technical structure.
