“Liverpool” has sent a new message to “reds” legend Mohamed Salah, who is preparing to play the first match of the 2026 World Cup in Egypt against Belgium in a few hours.

The Egyptian team plays in Group G with the teams of Belgium, Iran and New Zealand.

The English club congratulated the captain of the Egyptian national team on his 34th birthday on June 15 and wrote on his website X. “Happy birthday to the king of Egypt!”

The Reds’ official Arabic Facebook page also gave special congratulations to Mohamed Salah, as well as a summary of his amazing statistics during his career with the Reds, which ended at the end of the 2025-2026 season.

A Liverpool page aimed at the Arab world quoted a poem by Egyptian poet Ahmed El-Zein praising the dean of Arabic literature, Taha Hussein, to congratulate Salah, writing: “History is proud of him, he rose as a preacher.”

He also revealed the Egyptian star’s stats from nine years with the Reds (2017-2026) with a clip from Um Kulthum’s ‘I Forget You’ which he captioned ‘The years passed like seconds in my love for you’.

Mohamed Salah is set to announce his new direction after the World Cup, as some clubs in the Saudi League have shown interest, as well as Fenerbahce of Turkey.
