The Prime Minister announced today that children under the age of 16 will be banned from social media. In Downing Street, Keir Starmer announced that the ban would come into effect in the spring of 2027 if approved by Parliament. Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and X are among the affected platforms – but not WhatsApp or Signal. So will the ban achieve what the government says it will do? Adam and Henry are joined by BBC technology editor Zoe Kleinman. And, the US and Iran have reached an agreement to end the war. Donald Trump said the Gulf of Hormuz would be reopened and the US Navy would end the embargo on Iran. Details of what any potential deal might look like in practice are scarce.
