Adlington will turn 40 just days after the upcoming Games, with her five female teammates averaging just 20 when they head to the SECC from July 31-August 2.
Sunny Dweig was part of Team Scotland’s Achieve program for upcoming athletes at Birmingham 2022 and the 21-year-old will put that experience to good use in his first Games.
At 18, Eva Ewing is the youngest, while British Championships gold medalist Summer Shaw is the oldest at 22.
It will also be the first Games for Scott Cusack as he follows in the footsteps of mum Loretta and dad Billy, who won a medal for Scotland when he first competed in judo at the 1990 Auckland Games.
Loretta, also a 1982 world champion, will be on hand for her son’s debut as Glasgow 2026 Sport Competition Manager for Judo.
Cusack, the British champion, said: “My mum and dad both competed at the Commonwealth Games, it’s always been something I’ve wanted to do. I really want to make them proud.”
Meanwhile, Olly Short, a silver medalist at both the Hong Kong Asian Open in November and the Mandurah Oceania Open in May, qualified for his first Games since his brother Alex competed at Birmingham 2022, missing out on the bronze medal match.
