Spain striker Lamine Yamal is fit and ready to come off the bench for the World Cup opener, but manager Luis de la Fuente says his start will depend on how the Group H match against Cape Verde goes.
“The good news is that Lamine is fit,” De la Fuente told reporters on Sunday.

Yamal has not played since April, as the 18-year-old has been struggling with a groin problem and an abdominal injury. He he missed The latest Spanish game, but his coach is not worried about his health, and the situation of Nico Williams and Victor Munoz.
“He is following the established procedure, and he is fine. He is doing very well, like his other injured colleagues,” said De la Fuente.
“They are all there, but since the game will not end, we will wait for how the game will go, and then we will make a decision on how to help the team.
“It’s a clear story, the way the game is going, the way the game is.”

Spain, European champions and 2010 World Cup winners, entered the competition as one of the favorites to lift the trophy, but De la Fuente will not take Cape Verde lightly in their World Cup campaign.
“If you haven’t seen them play yet, you will tomorrow,” he said.
“Intellectually, they are a very well-prepared team, and they develop their mentality very well. Their players are very strong physically. They are very fast, and they beat Cameroon.
“They can be one of the surprise teams in this World Cup, and tomorrow’s game will require us to do our best, and it will be difficult, even if we win. People, everyone, will know tomorrow what they can do.”
Saudi Arabia and Uruguay are the other teams in the group, and they meet in Miami on Monday.
