German hat-trick and new signing at Koncacafé
The first half of this Sunday night’s clash between Germany and Curaçao at the NRG Stadium in the 2026 World Cup Group E tournament in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico witnessed some very remarkable numbers and statistics.
Germany got off to a strong start, opening the scoring in the sixth minute through Felix Nmecha. The goal came after a special collective attack from the left flank saw the German players exchange the ball in a series of elaborate passes before it reached Nmesha, who fired a powerful shot from inside the penalty area into the net to the keeper’s left.

The Curaçao national team managed to equalize in the 21st minute through Livano Cominencia, who scored a superb goal from the edge of the penalty area after a shot to the right of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
In the 38th minute, the German national team regained its advantage through Nico Schlotterbeck, who took advantage of a perfect corner pass from the right wing and headed the ball into the goal with a strong header.

The same source added that Nico Schlotterbeck’s goal made it only the second game in World Cup history in which two Borussia Dortmund players scored in the same game.
