Tottenham Right-back Pedro Porro has signed a new, long-term contract with the club. The length of the contract was not disclosed by Spurs, but the deal is understood to run until 2031.
Poro, 26, had two years left on the contract he signed when he joined Spurs on a permanent transfer from Sporting CP in the summer of 2023.
Spurs were early Poro signed the loan January 2023 for £40m with an obligation to make the move permanent that summer.
The Spaniard made 152 appearances for Spurs last season, including 47 in all competitions, the most in Roberto Di Zerbi’s squad.
“Over the last three-and-a-half years, he has made huge strides to become one of the best full-backs in the game, and playing for Spain at the World Cup is testament to that,” said Spurs sporting director Johan Lange.
“His character, work ethic and quality are exactly what we look for when building a squad capable of competing at the highest level and we are delighted that he has chosen to continue his journey with the club.”
Spurs boss De Gerby added: “Apart from his technical quality, I also like his mentality. Every day he wants to work, learn and improve and these are the characteristics that help players reach the highest level.
“He understands football very intelligently and brings energy, intensity and personality to the team.”
Poro is currently there 2026 World Cup Along with Spain, who open their group stage campaign against Cape Verde in Atlanta on Monday (17:00 BST).
