Brazil are far from the top goalscorer at the World Cup… and Germany are coming close


The German national team will meet with Curaçao on Sunday

Brazil added to their record as the highest goalscoring team in World Cup history after Vinicius Junior scored in a 1-1 draw against Morocco in the first round of the 2026 World Cup last Saturday night US EAST time.

Four-time World Cup winners Germany begin their 2026 World Cup campaign on Sunday against modest World Cup debutants Curaçao in Group Five, which also includes Cote d’Ivoire and Ecuador.
