MOD video shows Russian shadow fleet intercepting a tanker

Royal Marine commandos and National Crime Agency officers boarded a Russian oil tanker in the English Channel.

This footage of the operation, which lasted six hours and was supported by the RAF, was shared by the Ministry of Defence.

The vessel, Smyrtos, will be detained and monitored off the southern coast while investigations continue, the ministry said.
