Laduora Duo 4-in-1 Red Light Therapy Scalp and Hair Care Device Review: General Purpose

This device looks like a high quality brush. It connects via a USB cable and takes about four hours to deliver, then lasts 60 minutes on a single charge (about 12 five-minute sessions). The brush has only one button to turn it on and off, and with the button, you can also change three modes: Gentle, Balance, and Boost. There isn’t much information about the different settings, but each increased the amount of vibration, which is felt through small, circular metal coils that vibrate in the head in short, circular motions. These bristles are short, stiff, and do not move, so be careful because they can get stuck in curly hair (more on that below). After a five-minute session, the device automatically turns off.

Make sure your hair is (mostly) white for best results; You can use the device on dry or wet hair. Make sure that the teeth of the brush are all touching your scalp, and then brush from front to back and side to side, or in a circular motion, covering the entire area of your head. The brush has a hole in the middle where you place the serum pod, which comes out through the brush tips to maximize the desired effect. The Encourage the serum (which came with my test unit) aims to combat thinning and shedding; Careful restores the scalp’s natural pH with rose oil, raspberry, argan, and castor oil; and Wake up provides soothing, cooling relief from irritation with a blend of peppermint, tea tree oil, and aloe extract.

Whichever method you choose, each pot costs $30 for a two-pack and lasts about nine servings, meaning you’ll buy them about every two to three weeks if you use the pods every day. You can only buy some coconuts through the Laduora website. The device is used without the caps, but the product will no longer have the benefits of the serum. My hair looked very shiny with less flyaways when I used the serum, but it made my hair look better afterwards (even though Laduora says it doesn’t).

During use, the brush heats up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit to improve circulation and allow the pod’s ingredients to penetrate the scalp, follicle, and hair shaft. However, the most intense feeling in my body was shaking. The vibrating teeth are similar to a quasi-scalp massage, which helps reduce stress and promote blood flow. I felt that tingling feeling you get when someone is playing with your hair or scratching your scalp with their fingers. Microcurrents work with heat to stimulate hair growth by stimulating blood circulation and stimulating the follicles. It was difficult for me to distinguish between microcurrents and vibrations, since microcurrents also produce small vibrations that sound the same.
