Morocco star Ayoub Bouadi has commented on his country’s performance against Brazil in the 2026 World Cup opener as the two teams drew 1-1 on Sunday morning.

The Moroccan team opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the match, before Vinicius Junior was able to respond in the 32nd minute.

The match witnessed a remarkable performance from Bouadi, who produced a standout performance that confounded the Brazilian stars, especially those who faced him in midfield.

Bouadi, who switched his sporting nationality from France to Morocco last month, made his first official appearance for the Atlas Lions against Brazil, taking part in three pre-World Cup friendlies under technical director Mohamed Wehbe.

The Moroccan national team prepares for the second match in Group C, scheduled for next Saturday against Scotland, before the group stage ends with a match against Haiti on Thursday, June 25.
