Tommy Fury defeated Eddie Hall in a Manchester exhibition boxing match

“It’s another fury. It’s another boy.

“I’ve fought a lot of guys, and this guy can fight. He’s not slow; he’s fit. Thank you for fighting and thank you for a great fight in Manchester.”

The heavyweight bout was classified as an exhibition bout, so the fighter’s professional boxing record didn’t count either.

The event was the latest example of a boxing event blurring the lines between professional sports, entertainment and social media celebrity.

Former Love Island contestant Fury’s professional resume includes high-profile victories over powerhouse boxers KSI and Jack Paul.

Britton Hall, who won the World’s Strongest Man title in 2017, lost to the mighty Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bornson in an exhibition bout billed as ‘the heaviest boxing match in history’ in 2022.

Hall moved on to MMA and claimed a knockout victory over the mighty Mariusz Pudzianowski last year.

There was a 108lb (49kg) difference in weight at Friday’s weigh-in, but 27-year-old Fury used his superior boxing skills to hold onto Hall.

Fury’s brother was in the crowd along with Manchester City forward Phil Foden – who missed out on a place in England’s World Cup squad.

The undercard features the likes of the gold chain-wearing ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ – real name Jack K – who went viral on social media in 2025 for sporting a distinctive bowl haircut. She saw rapper and podcaster Jordan McCann.

Two-time Olympic taekwondo champion Jed Jones defeated Argentine combat sports influencer Federicita in his second boxing bout, scoring a technical knockout victory when the fight was stopped in the second round.

It makes 33-year-old Jones two wins from two since switching to boxing last year.

And, before the title fight, Campbell Hatton – son of the late former world champion Ricky Hatton – was announced as the new signing to the Misfits. The 25-year-old announced his retirement from professional boxing last year.
