Against Trump’s will, 4 Iranian officials entered America.

The other 11 are still banned.

Iran’s soccer federation has succeeded in obtaining visas for four members of its delegation accompanying the 2026 World Cup in the United States after they won an appeal against President Donald Trump’s initial denial, while the other 11 members of the delegation, including federation president Mehdi Taj, are still barred from entering the United States.

According to Iranian federation sources, 10 members of the delegation filed formal appeals after being denied US visas, and only 4 of them succeeded in winning their case, including the national team’s coaching staff analyst and two officials of the federation’s international department, while the applications of the other six were rejected.

Among the members of the Iranian delegation who were again barred from entering the US, in addition to the federation’s president, Mehdi Taj, are one of the federation’s vice presidents, one of two administrators, a press officer and a member of security, a decision that reflects continuing diplomatic tensions between Washington and Tehran despite the start of the World Cup.

Iran is in Group 7 along with Belgium, New Zealand and Egypt. It will face Belgium and New Zealand at the Sophie Stadium in Los Angeles and Egypt in Seattle.
