A negative report threatens the player’s future
The Real Madrid star’s job has been complicated by the arrival of new manager Jose Mourinho, after he asked for strong reinforcements to shore up a Merengue defense that has suffered badly in a recent ‘zero’ season.
Real Madrid announced the appointment of Jose Mourinho as the team’s technical director for three years, a second term in which president Florentino Perez hopes to erase the woes of the past two seasons when titles were missing from the Bernabeu.
According to Spanish journalist Miguel Serrano, former Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa has put left-back Alvaro Carreras in an awkward position in front of Mourinho after he made negative comments about the player in his latest Merengue player evaluation report, where he called him an undesirable player in the dressing room.
The Defensa Central website quoted Serrano as saying on his YouTube channel, where he confirmed: “Jose Mourinho has asked Real Madrid to sign a left-back after receiving very negative reports from Arbeloa about Alvaro Carreras.
He emphasized that Mourinho will not depend on Carreras or Raul Asensio next season.

“However, the circumstances of players leaving are very different. In Asensio’s case, he wants to stay and get the same salary at Real Madrid, regardless of his condition, or find another club that will pay him the same salary.”
He continued. “As for Carreras, he would have left the club if it was up to Mourinho, but Real Madrid want to give him another chance given his arrival at the start of last season.”
“Therefore, Real Madrid are already working to fulfill Mourinho’s request, and the solution could be to sign a left-handed centre-back who can play as a full-back, or sign a left-back.

“This is an undesirable situation, considering the team has three players in the left-back position and although none of them have been convincing, Mourinho would very much like to rely on Ferlan Mendy, but the Frenchman’s fitness is in doubt and repeated injuries are gradually worsening his football career.”
“That’s why the plan is to get rid of non-key players and selling Fran García is one of Real Madrid’s main goals given Carreras’ situation. “If there is an opportunity to sell the former Benfica player, the club will study the offers.”
“However, it will be difficult to find a sale deal that will cover the cost of his inclusion from Benfica (60 million euros).

The left-back position is one of the biggest challenges facing the new Real Madrid next season. Mourinho therefore called for the signing of Calafiore (Arsenal) or Guardiola (Manchester City), two players capable of filling this position, in addition to being able to play in the center of defense if needed.
