The Portuguese star said: “We don’t know if we are favorites or not. It will be revealed at the end of the tournament, but I believe that this group is capable of making the Portuguese happy.”

Portugal are set to open their tournament campaign against Congo and face Uzbekistan and Colombia in the group stage, where Ronaldo believes they need to focus on each game individually.

He added: “The most important thing is to start well and then think about the next match. The road is being built step by step.”
