The Ivorian midfielder is close to leaving Al-Raqi
“Al-Ahly” began looking for a replacement for its Ivorian midfielder Franck Kesse, after the latter was close to leaving his ranks in the upcoming summer transfer period.
Multiple reports suggest that Kessien will leave Al-Ahly next summer, with his contract set to expire at the end of June and several Italian clubs interested in his services.
Saudi newspaper Al-Youm reports media reports which have confirmed that Germany’s Matthias Jesse, Al-Ahly’s coach, believes France’s Keverin Thuram, the Juventus midfielder, is the best fit to replace Kessier next season.
According to reports, the Italian club is not against Turam leaving their ranks in Mercato next summer, on the condition of receiving 45 million euros.
Al-Ahly are awaiting further support from the Roshan League’s recruitment committee to officially finalize a deal for the French midfielder.
In the previous season, the 25-year-old football player performed exceptionally well in the “Bianconeri” team, as he participated in 45 matches in various competitions, during which he managed to score 4 goals and make 5 assists.
If he is included, Keverin Thuram will be the second French player at Al-Ahly, particularly in midfield, after Enzo Milot, who joined from Stuttgart last summer.
