Queen’s 2026: Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter reach quarter-finals


Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter will play twice in one day after England’s two hopefuls scored impressive victories to reach the quarter-finals.

Raducanu recorded her first win against a top-20 opponent in more than a year with a 6-4 6-2 win over Romania’s world number 18 Sorana Cirstea.

It was a big win for Radukan against his opponent. They beat her in the finals of the Transylvania Open. in February – and the 23-year-old was unbeaten in the four months prior to that tournament.

The Russian-born Uzbek defeated Britain’s Harriet Dart 5-7 6-1 7-5 in three hours on court to face former US Open champion Camila Rakimova in the semi-finals.

Boulter beat world number 38 Jacqueline Christian 6-1 6-3 to reach the last eight.

It took just 67 minutes for the 29-year-old to see off Christian and set up a meeting with top seed Elena Rabakina.

Kazakhstan’s former Wimbledon champion Rybakina battled back to beat defending champion Tatjana Maria 6-7 (4-7) 7-5 6-0 in two hours and 10 minutes.

No matches were played at Queen’s on Thursday due to rain, meaning all four quarter-finals had to be played on Friday.
