FIFA ranking table. Morocco leads the Arab and African countries, and Argentina is on the world throne.

Morocco maintained their position (seventh) today in the FIFA rankings published on Thursday to continue their lead at the African and Arab levels.

At the African level, Morocco was ahead of Senegal (15th in the world), Nigeria (26th), Algeria (28th) and Egypt (29th).

Morocco ranks first in the Arab world, ahead of Algeria (28), Egypt (29), Tunisia (45) and Qatar (56), while Saudi Arabia ranks 61st.

Argentina reclaimed the ranking throne to coincide with the start of the 2026 World Cup on Thursday night, followed by Spain, then France, with Germany in tenth place.

World Cup winners Argentina moved up two places to overtake the Roosters at the top following friendly wins over Iceland and Honduras.

Tango dancers returned to the top of the world rankings for the first time since July 2025, and the French national team took third place.
