Former Saudi Arabia soccer star Sultan Al-Lahiani has ruled out the possibility of Morocco’s national team repeating their historic achievement at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when they will play at the 2026 World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico.
The Moroccan national team achieved a historic and unforgettable achievement at the 2022 World Cup when it became the first Arab and African team to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.before eventually finishing fourth.
Al-Lahiani said in the statements given to the “Dorina Ghair” program. “Teams will be more cautious with the Moroccan team at the 2026 World Cup, which will complicate its mission in the tournament.”
“After reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, all teams will be cautious, especially at the level of defensive organization, even the strongest teams in terms of ranking, market value or player value.”
“Here it will become clear how the Moroccan team will play against teams that play in a defensive organization and how they will attack, and it will reveal more mistakes, especially at the defensive level.”
